Robusta is not automatically lower quality than Arabica. Arabica is often more associated with specialty coffee because of its complexity, sweetness, and aromatic range, but Robusta offers its own strengths such as higher caffeine, stronger body, and a more intense cup profile.
Much of Robusta's reputation comes from its frequent use in commodity coffee and instant coffee. However, when it is carefully grown, processed, and roasted, Robusta can be enjoyable and well-suited to specific brewing styles and consumer preferences.
