About this coffee

Cocotos Estate Mt Apo Coffee is located 1,200 meters above sea level, on the southeastern slopes of the majestic Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines.

Last year, during a trip to our Cocotos Estate, we decided to visit our neighbors at 1,400 masl and higher. After an arduous 4x4 ride and trekking the last mile, lo and behold: a sea of green up at high altitude—hills and hills of coffee trees! It was such a mesmerizing sight.

Inspired by the farmers we met, and especially knowing how much hard work is put into growing and caring for coffee, we wanted to pave the way for the coffee of our farmer-friends to reach our city friends and patrons.

Thus was born our program called Cocotos Connects. Through this hand holding, we are able to link our neighbor farmers to roasters, cafes and coffee lovers.
